Happy New Year! This morning I went to the big reveal of Girl of the Year 2014, Isabelle. At the event they had dancers preforming every hour, crafts, giveaways, “swag”, and of course, the opportunity to buy a bunch of doll stuff. Since there was so much going on, I had to split this in to 2 posts! Today we will see the stuff in the store!
First we have Isabelle’s performance set. This would be more versatile if the black “thing” had been a leotard and leggings, but I do like the skirt.
In the catalog, it says that these pieces are good for modern dance. I love modern dance. But that top doesn’t seem to fit the color scheme of Isabelle’s collection.
Here are some of Isabelle’s mix and match items. They’re cute, but, speaking as a former ballet dancer, not very realistic. Most of the leotards my friends and I wore were solid, with fancy backs, no sequins to be seen. Maybe in Washington D.C. it’s different???
More mix and match options.
Here is the armoire/sewing studio closed. I like that there’s a barre on the door, so Isabelle can practice in tight quarters, but I doubt one armoire would be enough space for a hard core seamstress. Yo! Cameo appearance by a familiar non-doll!
This is the new Valentine’s dress. It’s pale pink with “Love” on the front, and has an attached satin ruffle skirt.
New store exclusives. Those shoes are cute.
This is the end of the road for today, but on Friday, I will show you all the things I got at Isabelle’s reveal/welcome party. Happy new year!
