How’s the new year treating you? Well as promised, here’s all the “swag” I got from Isabelle, Girl of the Year 2014’s reveal party at the AG place. If you missed Wednesday’s post, click here.

At the store there was a color the paper doll craft….

And this “cut the t-shirt” thing. Not as impressive as last year.

The catalog. The girl on the cover’s hair is impressive. How did they get it perfectly swung, with Isabelle’s highlights still showing? Oh, the wonders of nature!

Here’s a little dolly tee shirt that I got in a mini AG bag. It has a cooler design than Saige’s, but it doesn’t have no snag Velcro on the back ;( It’s the little things in life.

I also want to mention that all of Isabelle’s things have a special Isabelle tag, instead of the regular American Girl one.

So this wraps up my visit to Girl of the Year 2014’s reveal. Audios!

P.S. Thank you to Karen Mom of 3 for selecting my mittens tutorial for her Craft Along with Me for January. I am honored!

Happy New Year and Welcome Isabelle: Part 1

Happy New Year! This morning I went to the big reveal of Girl of the Year 2014, Isabelle. At the event they had dancers preforming every hour, crafts, giveaways, “swag”, and of course, the opportunity to buy a bunch of doll stuff. Since there was so much going on, I had to split this in to 2 posts! Today we will see the stuff in the store!

Photo Jan 01, 10 33 57 AMFirst we have Isabelle’s performance set. This would be more versatile if the black “thing” had been a leotard and leggings, but I do like the skirt.

In the catalog, it says that these pieces are good for modern dance. I love modern dance. But that top doesn’t seem to fit the color scheme of Isabelle’s collection.

Here are some of Isabelle’s mix and match items. They’re cute, but, speaking as a former ballet dancer, not very realistic. Most of the leotards my friends and I wore were solid, with fancy backs, no sequins to be seen. Maybe in Washington D.C. it’s different???

More mix and match options.

Photo Jan 01, 10 21 37 AMHere is the armoire/sewing studio closed. I like that there’s a barre on the door, so Isabelle can practice in tight quarters, but I doubt one armoire would be enough space for a hard core seamstress. Yo! Cameo appearance by a familiar non-doll!

This is the new Valentine’s dress. It’s pale pink with “Love” on the front, and has an attached satin ruffle skirt.

New store exclusives. Those shoes are cute.

Photo Jan 01, 10 31 38 AMAlso, there’s a new store exclusive PJ’s set.

This is the end of the road for today, but on Friday, I will show you all the things I got at Isabelle’s reveal/welcome party. Happy new year!

The hot air ballon is giant, maybe twice Saige’s size!

This dress looks more coral or orange than pink in person.
